Drawings of Planned Development and More on Virtual Meeting 26 October
Posted on Oct 21st, 2022

Maureen Gable, Planning and Community Development Planner for the Town of Mooresville, provided the following information about the developer's virtual meeting, the plans for the development, and the Mooresville Town Planning Board meeting where the proposal will be discussed. The plans may be viewed here and here. The link for the virtual meeting on 10/26 from 6 - 7 is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86137966019?pwd=U0hoSmpCRUJwTlA1WTJzNUNCMnduQT09. The meeting ID is 861 3796 6019.
The Mooresville Town Planning Board will address the case at their meeting on 8 November at Mooresville Town Hall, 413 N Main St., Mooresville, NC 28115, at 6:00 p.m.

These meetings are important to you if the environment and ecology of Davidson Lake are important to you. As discussed previously, our lake takes in excess of one year to flush out water/pollutants because there is very little fresh water flowing into it. The ecology is very fragile, especially during our periodic periods of drought when there is virtually no water entering the lake. Given the size of the proposed development, there is the probability of extensive parking lot run off and increased possibility of other pollution from sewer system failures, etc. We need to do our best to ensure that this kind of development, if approved, is only approved if the developer can guarantee the environmental and ecological preservation of the lake.  Make sure your concerns are addressed by attending these meetings if possible.
