Soy Field Rezoning Meeting in Mooresville

Despite many excellent presentations to the Mooresville Planning Board by Davidson Pointe and Davidson Estates residents, the re-zoning request passed - read about it here
There has been a request made by Hinckley Gauvain to Re-Zone the property on the North Side of Bridges Farm Road up by the fields. The request is to rezone the property from a R-3 (Single Family Residential) to CMX&NMX (Corridor Mixed Use & Neighborhood Mixed Use). That would mean a mixture of commercial and residential including apartments. This all will have a bearing on life in DP. There will be a public meeting at Town Hall Mooresville 413 N. Main St. at 6 PM, May 11th. You can get more information by going to the Town of Mooresville Planning and Community Development site online.
One of our residents, Walter Schoenewolf, is a lawyer and he wrote the attached excellent letter to the Town of Davidson about the proposed development and re-zoning.
